KRWINKI

KRWINKI

Krwinki are buzzing! Blood is boiling! Fever! Chaos! But also circulation, rhythm, a strange sense of balance in motion. Their music surges like a living organism – unpredictable yet strangely coherent. A sonic bloodstream where every note is a cell with its own purpose. The world is a riddle, sir. Please lift your hat. Step inside. This Polish free improv quartet brings together four musicians from across the experimental, jazz, and interdisciplinary scenes, each with a distinct artistic voice – united by a drive to explore sound beyond genre or expectation.

band members:
Michał Buśko – tenor saxophone
Michał Dymny – baritone guitar, piano, synths
Rafał Zając – drums
Tomek Głuc – bass guitar, handsonic, sample
Filip Franczak – double bass, bass guitar, theremin

Michał Dymny (electric guitar, keyboards) A boundary-pushing improviser and composer based in Kraków. Dymny has developed a singular approach to the electric guitar through extended techniques, preparations, and a deep exploration of texture and sonority. He has collaborated internationally with artists such as Shahzad Ismaily, Vasco Trilla, Luís Vicente, Raymond Strid, Lisa Ullén, and Balázs Pándi. His performance credits include major festivals such as Sacrum Profanum, Unsound, Krakowska Jesień Jazzowa, and Audio Art Festival.

Filip Franczak (double bass, theremin) A multi-instrumentalist, producer, and cognitive science-informed artist whose work merges collective improvisation, design thinking, and experimental sound. He’s a founding member of groups like Fraktale (Grand Prix – Jazz in the Park 2019), AcidSitter (Interstellar Smoke Records), and Tumbling Walls. He’s composed for theater, including Agharta (Teatr Zagłębia) and Psy ras drobnych (Teatr Barakah), and has performed across Europe – from Bearstone and Soulstone Gathering, to Athens Music Week and Helsinki Psych Fest.

Michał Buśko (tenor saxophone)
A Kraków-based saxophonist known for his bold tone and exploratory phrasing. Buśko moves freely between raw energy and lyrical abstraction, often grounding his improvisation in jazz tradition while pushing it toward noise and drone territories.

Rafał Zając (drums) A drummer who treats rhythm as sculpture – shaping silence and sound with equal intent. Drawing from jazz, experimental, and minimalism, his playing emphasizes space, dynamics, and detailed interaction. Zając is active in Poland’s improvised music scene and collaborates with musicians across free jazz and electronic improvisation circles. Krwinki are not here to offer easy answers – they’re here to stir the bloodstream. Controlled entropy. A sonic riddle. Welcome to the system.==-
